I must say I am feeling very philosophical this morning (I had to spell check that). Today for me is all about effort! And quite bizarrely as I was thinking about this (when blow drying my hair this morning) my husband mentioned the very same word.

It took a lot of effort for me to put on my running shoes at 6.30am this morning and force myself out the door for a run, but that effort has ‘made my morning’ as I feel great and feel a real sense of achievement as I couldn’t be bothered the last 2 mornings.

So my plan is to put more effort into everything I do today to see what a difference it will make.

I am ‘so’ not dressed for today’s weather in white linen trousers, what was I thinking!  But at least I have my rain coat.

Great to see how many people we had online yesterday browsing through our new website, so far so good no glitches.

We have a Prom feature next week! For all those of you who have a prom to go to or a daughter attending one, we have some beautiful wrist corsages in our ‘Accessories’ online and we will giving one 14 year old a mini make over in preparation for her up and coming prom.

Meanwhile today, we are working on some new designs which will be loaded under a new ‘novelty’ tag on the website, showing bracelets specific to rugby and football teams for all you female followers out there!  I attended the recent Tigers game at Twickenham wearing my red & green bracelet and received so many comments I think I should have set up a stall selling them!

I am wearing my ‘sweetheart’ earrings £5.00, these go with anything, together with our navy blue glass classic bracelet £8.50, great with jeans and anything nautical. I am also wearing our ceramic blue and white bracelet with butterfly attachment £8.00, this also comes with a matching necklace which is £16.00. Great for those of you who like something a little different.

The Yeyyyyy, I because our new website has launched today and we are all very excited about it. Much of the out of stock lines are due in throughout the month of June, so please bear with us. Also over the next few weeks we will be adding some lovely accessories and also our handmade cards and photo albums.

I am wearing one of my ‘most worn’ bracelets, ‘Rosa’, a 9 strung gun metal great bracelet with large oblong bead, £8.00. Also has matching Florence necklace, £17.00. It goes with so many things!

Fiona is wearing our ‘Alanis’ necklace, made from antique metal effect and acrylic beads with ribbon trim and large metal heart. £15.00. Also has matching ‘Olivia’ bracelet, £8.00.

Lello is featured ‘quite nicely’ in this weeks ‘Women’ magazine in a feature on Valentine’s gifts.

Not sure the editor realised that they had uploaded an image from our ‘Little Lello‘ range so it would only be suitable for little girls and teenagers. Mind you it does fit me so as long as your wrist isn’t too large you’d be ok. Secondly… it’s currently out of stock, oh dear!

But of cause there are many more styles to choose from our website.

Many of the images which appear in magazines like this are uploaded from a company many of us manufacturers subscribe to. The editor simply types in ‘heart shaped jewellery‘ a hundreds of images from companies like Lello, pop up! So we have absolutely no control over which image they choose, nor the opportunity to suggest images, nor do we know when the image will be published.

Nevertheless we are very grateful they choose us!

I am going to cheat today I am afraid because we are a bit thin on the ground with staff.

The designers are too busy and ‘up against it’ to talk to me and many of the others are unloading a lorry!

So instead I will show you some of our new jewellery for Autumn / Winter which this season is modelled by Molly Cooper (16).

Molly is wearing our new long ‘Crater’ necklace, made up of antique metal discs with matching ‘Meteor’ bracelet, which is a long bracelet which coils and wraps round your wrist.

Molly is also wearing our new Grey classic short necklace made of grey glass beads.

On Molly’s right wrist she is wearing our current ‘Alexa’ metal bracelet with heart attachment and chain ‘Gretal’ bracelet with two hanging hearts.

Molly is wearing our current ‘Crystal’ heart locket earrings.

Lastly Molly is sporting one of our new large handbags, ‘Slate’ made from 100% recycled felt and grey flannel with a lovely large black ribbon and gem corsage attached.

It’s Melanie’s turn today. Melanie is our senior designer and has worked for Lello since it’s conception 10 years ago.

I snapped a picture of her quickly while she was working on some new Spring season jewellery designs. Melanie is wearing ‘Alice’ necklace, a long metal beaded necklace with large antiqued metal heart. A real favourite of ours.

The second picture shows the design team hard at work at 9.25am this morning. Lello creates a great deal of pure graphic design for one of the UK’s major supermarkets, so the team is split between graphic illustrative and surface designers.

My young son is just visible sat at one of the computers designing a little card, we start them young here!

How lovely it is to come into work this morning and have some sunshine after all the rain.

I made sure I was wearing something to reflect the happy mood and threw on my Alice necklace, long metal beaded necklace with matching bracelet Alexa, it makes such a statement.

All these metal lines which have sold so well for us since their launch in January will be back in stock at the end of this week.

We are working on our new 2010 lines of handmade card designs this week, discussing ideas around the studio and looking has what sold well for us this past year. Much of our manufacturing came back to the UK after all our problems overseas with the dollar and factories going bust. It’s the best thing we ever did.

We will be looking at new boards and beautiful new embellishments to add to them to exhibit at the Spring Fair, Birmingham in Feb 2010!

It’s my turn today.

I am wearing our Grey glass pearl multi strand bracelet, ‘Milly’ which looks lovely on it’s own, it would be great to wear to a party or a wedding, though also looks nice for everyday.  I am wearing it with jeans.

To compliment the bracelet I am wearing our ‘Crystal’ earrings. Locket shaped earrings with diamante’s round the edge with sterling silver backs.
