It is a lovely morning here in Leicester not that I can see out of our ‘frosted windows’ but nevertheless I shall hopefully get to see daylight at lunchtime!
It’s a peaceful but busy morning, Fiona is working on our website as we aim to load all our handmade cards to the site in the next week. After this we will start adding all our handmade photo albums but this may take us a few weeks to achieve so please bear with us. Cards and albums for all occasions.
Access for trade customers will then follow once these lines are set up for the public.
For those of you who only know Lello for their jewellery, wait till you see our beautiful range of handmade cards and albums which will all be available on-line!
Fiona is also working on a brand new project we plan to offer to the public and our trade customers in the coming weeks. Supported by Trendstop! the trends predication company.
Lello will be bringing you weekly fashion/trend forecasts to keep you up to date with what’s in fashion in terms of fabrics, styles, colours, jewellery etc. So if you are fashion conscious and want a quick and easy update on the latest predictions keep logging onto Lello each week. This new addition will be directed through the home page and we hope to launch it next week.
My day will be spent sending out hundreds and hundreds of newsletters!

We are very fortunate that we deal with some very friendly and supportive retailers across the country. I can’t deny over the years I have had customers literally scream at me because we have made a mistake with their order. We do check our orders carefully ,but human error is a fact and a few times a year it is bound to happen.
But I have just got off the phone to one of our customers: Occasions Gifts in Derbyshire, who are always very pleasant and seems to understand fully that our cards and albums are made to order in-house.
It is an unfortunate modern trend that customers feel they need to scream and shout and make a huge fuss to get something fixed or changed. Sometimes, being nice is all it takes!

Packing a large jewellery order which is going out to New Zealand, finalising our first ‘bi monthly’ newsletter which will go out to all our trade customers at the end of the week.

It’s the last day of term for our children tomorrow and that’s when it gets really interesting here in the office each day. Although we have someone to look after them it will be a challenging 6 weeks of not to shout when they are in the office, not to try all the jewellery on and parade around in it and not to ‘fight’ in reception! We have everyday day planned and scheduled on an ‘enlarged’ calender on the wall so everyone knows what’s happening.
I am sure it won’t be any different to last summer, lets just hope there is more sun so they can go to the park and get out more.
We are busy here with orders today and Fiona is designing our new ‘newsletter’ we are going to start sending out to all our retail customers to keep them informed.

First I’ve got to say that the lady in our July Make-Over is my mum and I think she looks terrific! I hope you agree.
Wendy, my mum really enjoyed her day of pampering and trying on clothes. Both Fiona and I thought she looked great, looks much younger than her, dare I say ’70+’ years (I’ll get into trouble for divulging that).
Her hair looked lovely and it was amazing what a little bit of make up did and different look with her clothes. We keep telling her that as she gets older she must wear brighter colours, so maybe this will encourage her!

A quick what are we wearing at Lello today?
Fiona is wearing (new in this week) ‘Pure’ necklace £13.99 and matching bracelet ‘Organic’ £8.99. Both made from antique (silver coloured) metal beads with flat beads in between and rounded square flat disc embellishment. Pretty and understated and little more delicate than some of our other new chunky silver jewellery.
