It’s a bit late for a Friday blog update, but better late than never.
It’s been a day of card designing here, quiet concise, thought through, quite a nice day really, talking patterns, styles, embellishments.
I went for a run at lunch time which blew the cobwebs away, rather handy when you work next to a park! so roll on the weekend.

It’s Tuesday again and today I am wearing our Rimi bracelet. Made up of 3 metal silver coloured bangles all with little hearts and cut out shapes, held together with a peice of cord also embellished with the Lello tag and a small heart.

It’s nice to have some sunshine this morning while we work.
Today we are working on Christmas card designs, not that I feel very Christmasy! Both Fiona and I decided quite quickly what we wanted to achieve and seem to have made a lot of progress in just one day, I like it when that happens.

Silly printers!

We are having printer problems this morning, trying to run off proofs of some new card designs. Isn’t it the case when you want to run off a lot of work, the printer plays up! oh well we will persevere. Maybe the printer has that Friday feeling!

Fiona and I have just both commented on how hungry we are this morning? not our usual topic of conversation and it’s only 11.17am.
Maybe it’s all our talk of card designs this morning, who knows! But I think lunch time will have to come a bit earlier today at Lello!

So that’s what we are up today, concerntrating on cards of various descriptions from Christmas to everyday, ideas, styles, formats. Pulling together designs we have worked on in the past and using elements of those combined with brand new inspiratation, which can come from just about anywhere. Some new ranges are so quick to design and can litterally take us a few days, others need more discussion and revision, although we work to a formula, that formula can take longer to achieve at times.

Today I am wearing our lovely ‘Crystal’ earrings, one of my all time Lello favourites. With silver findings and antique silver metal finish and little crystals round a love heart lock, very pretty.

It’s Tuesday again and despite the lovely weather we enjoyed yesterday, it is now tipping it down today in Leicester.
So far I have had a lovely day celebrating my son’s 10th birthday with a few celebrations last night and a party tonight, it’s going to be a busy day.

Here at Lello today we are making stock and designing new card ranges. Lots to do as always.

Today I am wearing 2 of our new designs now due to launch in July. I love them so delicate and sparkly, a real change for us!

It’s work experience time!

Yep it’s that time of year again when we invite local students in for work experience.
We don’t tend to take in as many as we’d like as we are only a small design team now and one student at a time works better for us. This week it is Amy’s turn! Amy is helping us make a few of our age cards.

Throughout her week with us Amy will have the chance to make her own cards and also some items of jewellery to take home with her. We make all our students feel welcome and part of the team and we hope that at the end of their we they leave with some valuable design skills.
