That’s what I need as I brave it in our cold warehouse checking through new stock.
At least I am dressed for it today, brrrr. Lots of new jewellery to check and shelve today, I could do with my ski mitts on.

What else are we up to today? designing new jewellery &  making valentines cards.

Tuesday’s are ‘what are we wearing at Lello today’. Today I am wearing our lovely ‘Keely’ bracelet, made from purple glass faceted beads, now comes with a fabulous matching necklace which is due in before Christmas.

What are we up to day? checking through all our lovely new jewellery, yippeeeeeee………

At the moment we have laughter in the office, not something I can share, but as we are all women, we find a lot to laugh about!
Making jewellery samples today, chasing deliveries, huddling round radiators as it’s freezing in here today!

Back tomorrow with ‘what are we wearing at Lello today’.

A bit of Both

Sorry for yesterday the day ran away with me and I forgot to upload my ‘What are we wearing at Lello today’, below is me today wearing one of our new ideas for next Spring Summer 2012. Made up of the best bits of a couple of current bracelets. A sure winner I think!

Back to today and some wise words. As usual I have pondered over this and tried to think of a different subject to cover, hopefully inspiring.
So today I have decided upon, ‘courage’ as I have ‘The Wizard of Oz’ on my mind, my daughter sings ‘Over the Rainbow’ constantly at the moment!

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear. ~Ambrose Redmoon

Every day you either see a scar or courage. Where you dwell will define your struggle. ~Dodinsky,

Courage is being afraid but going on anyhow. ~Dan Rather

Courage is the power to let go of the familiar. ~Raymond Lindquist

Brrrrrr it’s cold and the heating in our building is not up to scratch, lets hope someone comes to fix it soon!

Cracking on here this morning with a long long list of things to do, hopefully it will all take my mind off my son’s little accident he had at the weekend, but I am glad to say he has been back together again like the ’1 million dollar man’! scooters, bmx riding, what more can I say!!

Back tomorrow with ‘what are we wearing at Lello today’.

I waved my children off on the school bus today dressed in their pj’s for ‘Children In Need’, they did look funny.
No dressing up here today we are all just pressing on with our daily duties, lots of new opportunities in the pipeline but today is about getting print ordered and clearing the decks.
My jewellery has yet to arrive, one of the things we face regularly I am afraid, someone somewhere is holding it up!!

This week has flown by, it’s been a good week here at Lello and the count down to the Spring Fair in Birmingham is looming ever closer.

Have a Great Weekend, back on Monday x

I am soooo excited that finally after months of planning our new Point of Sale for Lello Jewellery has arrived.
We like to pride ourselves on how quickly we can turn our ideas round but sometimes things take longer in order to get them right.
Soon! we will be offering our trade customers these lovely free standing point of sale units to use for display in their shops. We have two little Lello uprights to go in cabinets in small and large sizes. A lovely yellow elephant (Lellophant) which holds a few pieces of jewellery on its trunk and finally or small table top jewellery display. I am so pleased with them and the added bonus is they come very simply made and easy to slot together in a vibrant almost luminous yellow acrylic!

Watch this space!

Today I am wearing our new ‘ Fortune’ necklace which we have made to match our ‘Trove bracelet’ which you can see below.
It sits beautifully in the neckline and offers our customers something a bit different. We love the silver antique jewellery we make but this necklace suits women who love their golds and browns at this time of year.

Back tomorrow with some wise words for Wednesday.

Chilly

We have the heating on but you know what it’s like when you can’t get warm?!
We have just had a big order collected so I can tick that off my list for this week and finally wave goodbye to Christmas cards…. mind you we still might get the odd one in over the next few weeks s I won’t speak too soon.

Waiting to hear when this week the jewellery is arriving. Lots of tidying to do here and planning for now until Christmas, ordering of components and scheduling of work. Lots of irons in the fire and new projects underway.

Here is a quick reminder of one of our new lines in this week, a lovely long metal necklace with key designs. Also comes in a short version, bracelet and earrings, I think this will become one of my favourites and a necklace I will be wearing for many years to come.

Back tomorrow with ‘what are we wearing at Lello today’.

Looking at my watch this morning we have an hour until the office is due to go quiet in memory of our war heros.

I told my five year old this morning, she must do her best to stay quiet for the minutes silence, to which she replied, ‘that seems a very long time’. She explained how she had learnt all about poppies yesterday at school though her understanding of it was some what distorted. I didn’t elaborate, sometimes you just know that no matter what you tell them at this age it is just too much for them to take in, her take on it all was worrying enough! I didn’t want to add to the confusion. I just simply said we had to remember all those lovely soliders who had died in the wars.

I was not surprised to hear they were selling ‘rememberance arm bands’ in the playground. Let’s hope the poppies don’t go out of fashion in favour of the wrist bands, but I guess if it captures the imagination of the next generation it is a good thing.

Today is a day of finishing off for us at Lello and tidying up. A few big card orders get finished and sent off to day, a jewellery project for a new client, the final copy to go on the much awaited brochure and so on, it will be good to get it all out the way and move on to new projects.

Have a great weekend!
