It’s a busy Monday morning here at Lello, making cards sending off samples and much more. Fiona is off to Manchester today to meet a new client and our week looks pretty full. We have some new jewellery arriving next week and I can’t wait…. all change!!

Not sure why I am saying that as the weeks seem to be flying past at the moment. I think I am ready for Halloween, witches broomstick at the ready.
Meanwhile we are busy making cards and will be very busy right up to Christmas. Fiona is working on some great new jewellery designs for 2012.

My list today of things to do is endless. However I seem to be making good progress. A few days out on the photoshoot has certainly put us behind a bit. So it’s heads down today!!

Busy making Valentines and Mother’s Day cards for 2012 and still making Christmas. We have had a really good tidy up and sort out after the photoshoot and it will be a day spent  catching up, organising new projects and discussing a trip out to the Far East planned for November.
Today I am wearing our new ‘Shilling’ necklace, due in stock in a few weeks time. With matching bracelet they are made in a grey metal distressed finish, very chunky but not at all heavy.

My wise words today are on the subject of adaptability: it can be very tough running your own business and 13 years later Lello are still forging on. Like everyone we have some great days and some not so great days but we all need to be adaptable and move with the times and the situation. Yesterday’s photoshoot was a great success as the sun shone nearly all day and we have some great shots (not mine, the photographers) and then the heavens opened!! hey ho, so we hope to capture the last few shots today before more rain in fore casted. Today’s plans will roll onto tomorrow.

Sorry, no, ‘what are we wearing at Lello today’ we have been busy at the photo shoot nearly all day. I will upload some images taken today and also some wise words for Wednesday tomorrow!!….. so far the shoot is going great, lets hope the horse behaves himself!!

After a couple of lovely days off with my children for half term it’s back to Lello business.
We are madly making Christmas cards, awaiting jewellery deliveries, designing characters for new cards and and much more. Our latest photoshoot is booked for tomorrow which we are all very excited about….lets just say it won’t just be people in the photo’s this time, as we have a ‘country’ theme this year!

We have a very busy couple of weeks ahead of us.

Today I have on our new ‘Trapeze’ necklace. Made from antique finish metal beads with blue, red and purple acrylic gems. Comes with matching bracelet, ‘Circus’. Due in stock in a few weeks.

Back on track this morning having had a few difficulties with my blog, all seems fine today. So apologies if you logged on last week to find no updates.

We are very busy with card orders and Fiona and I are busy working on new projects in the office. We have a photo shoot booked for Thurs. I asked my 5 yr old daughter if she happy to model again this week and she said she would think about it? followed swiftly by ‘oh go on then mummy’, it should prove to be an interesting day.

I guess it’s a bit late in the day for this as I usually upload my blogs in the morning. Today has been full on as we race to make and pack a very large order we need to have completed for Friday (Christmas cards). When it finally leaves us on Monday we have to make it all again! good news on top of all our other orders but takes some planning when it’s so last minute.

Today I am wearing one of our new Aut/Winter necklaces called ‘Noir’, large black beads with single metal antique bead, very nice! Available late Oct/early Nov.

We have a room full of worker bee’s this morning making Christmas cards for a last minute order which is somewhat larger than we were expecting. Nevertheless we are on to it and it brings back memories from years ago when all our cards were made in huge volumes onsite. Our production then moved overseas and 3 years ago we moved it all back again. However haven’t worked on something of this scale for a while.
Everyone seems happy and we appear to be on track.
Meanwhile Fiona is putting the finishing touches to a presentation she has later this week and I am about to start photographing, said presentation.

Although I do not like to wish my days away, I will be very pleased when we get to Friday, knowing we have managed to get this order out and the 101 other things we have on this week are complete.

Just so long as I make to my children’s Harvest Festival on Thursday, I’ll be very happy!
