This week at Lello we have completed a number of projects we have had on recently namely new designs, brochures, leaflets, design specs, the list goes on. Fiona is now in Spring mode 2012 working on our Spring season card designs and soon jewellery designs.
I was listening to radio 2 this morning on the way into work, Chris Evans show and as I am one for quotes and sayings I took note of his conversation with the Cardinal he had as his guest. ‘Live for today, you can’t change the past’ live a day at a time and enjoy that time to the fullest’ don’t worry about the future. I think we all try to.
Below another picture from our new Aut/Wint range of jewellery which launces in August. This new set is called Circus and Trapeze, matching necklace and bracelet made from antique metal beads with red and purple acrylic ‘dangly’ gems.

Just a few token quotes today, not with any real theme, I just choose the ones I liked best!
Good things come to good people! (Ginni)
Live Life, make Waves! (Lello)
Be not angry that you cannot make others as you wish them to be, since you cannot make yourself as you wish to be. ~Thomas à Kempis, Imitation of Christ, c.1420
If you don’t like how things are, change it! You’re not a tree. ~Jim Rohn
Enjoy when you can, and endure when you must. ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Don’t look where you fall, but where you slipped. ~African Proverb
The only way you may correct the bad things in your past is to add better things to your future. ~Shiloh Morrison
What are we up to at Lello today? I have just shown all our new Aut/Wint jewellery to our Midlands agent Chris and in her own words ‘ I love it all’ has made my morning.
I will be spending my afternoon finalising the order specs for the new designs. Fiona is busy working new card designs and various re-prints we have scheduled. Back tomorrow with another image from our new jewellery lines. Karen
Pleased to say it is lovely and sunny here today, what a difference it makes.
I thought I’d show you some of the actual photo’s taken during our photoshoot last week. Soon to be uploaded onto our website.

I’d like to say it was a bright and sunny morning but it’s a damp grey start to our week. This morning has been taken up with trying to get our print right as some of the colours on our cards are not printing the right shade, it’s been an unusually long process but I’m sure we will get there.
We are busy with photo album orders this morning and this week. Since our new brochure went out a week ago orders for our new albums have picked up which is great news. All our new designs can be viewed on our website.
We have a lot on this week, my list of things to do is growing by the minute!. Back tomorrow.
This Friday I’d like to show you one of our new Autumn Winter Little Lello designs, I apologise now for my photographic skills. The necklace and bracelet set ‘yet to be named’ is made up of pretty pink and metal beads with ‘Pony’ attachment. ‘Love it’!!
I can’t believe Thursday has come around so quickly.
Fiona and I are just out of a meeting having gone through all the new Aut/Winter jewellery lines. The children’s new jewellery is lovely and I am sure it will go down well with our retailers. I will upload a few images of the new ‘Little Lello’ jewellery on my blog tomorrow.
We are busy busy getting jewellery costings organised working on some promotional material and also new card designs, all good fun!
On a Wednesday I like to provide our blog readers with some quotes of the day. Some weeks they have a specific theme and others are just random quotes I have come across.
Today the ones I have chosen are based on peoples attitudes and why you should stand by your guns and stand up for yourself. Hold your head up high, inspired by a conversation I had with one of the other mums at school this morning when I dropped off my daughter. (Thanks Ginni – for your own wise words).
Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. The fearful are caught as often as the bold.
Helen Keller
Never bend your head. Always hold it high. Look the world straight in the eye.
Helen Keller
Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence.
George Washington
People are like dirt. They can either nourish you and help you grow as a person or they can stunt your growth and make you wilt and die.
Plato
Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow.
Helen Keller
It should be ‘what are we wearing at Lello today’ but instead I thought I’d bring you a few of my pics from last nights photoshoot.
The pictures were taken late afternoon between 4.30 and 6.30pm just as the sun was coming out. Sometimes things do work in your favour and last night it couldn’t have gone much better!
I spent most of the time trying to keep my daughter clean as the shoot was held in a small village park and the play equipment was just too enticing for her. With the beautiful pink roses everywhere and evening sunlight we could have been anywhere in the world.
Our models are Chloe, Abby, Georgie and Heidi. Fiona is putting the final touches to the girls hair and clothes and Jamie our photographer can been seen setting up. The clothes were on loan from ‘OUTFIT’, Thurmaston Leicester.
We have a photoshoot booked for this afternoon which will be fun! A few new shots for a mailer we are sending out to all our customers and for our website to brighten things up a bit.
I shall be there with my camera to record the girls practising their powts! Lets hope the rain stays away as it will be outdoors.
Back tomorrow with ‘what are we wearing at Lello today’.
What a fab day, fingers crossed the sun stays over the weekend.
With it being half term this week and despite all the work I have to do here at Lello, half my brain is with my children as usual so I have one child at the cinema today, keeping cool and the other at the Tigers rugby school playing his heart out, thankfully they have a female coach as part of the team, playing mum and making sure they all drink lots of water and also applying the dreaded sun cream! She deserves a medal!!
I had hoped to bring you more images of our new jewellery ranges today but this will have to wait till next week as Fiona is making alterations to a few of them. I am loving some of the new Little Lello designs, very cute.
Instead I thought I’d show you an old favourite of Lello’s I have on today. A navy and white stripe glass bead bracelet with red enamel ships wheel. Soon to be discontinued and not many left in stock, so if you want one….. order one now. £6.13. Have a great weekend, Karen.
