Today Fiona is road testing one of our new Autumn Winter bracelets called ‘Valor’ also has matching long necklace, ‘Honour’. Made of acrylic and metal flat and heart shaped beads and buttons it is a mix of two of our best selling ranges. We will have a whole new Spring summer range inspired by this design launching in Feb 2012. It is for all those women out there who love the metal jewellery but also like white/clear jewellery which are amongst our best sellers. Another bank holiday looms and as much as I love the idea of another day at home (I might even paint the front door) another Monday off when when we have so much to do doesn’t bode well.
It is a nice calm morning here at Lello and Fiona and I are bouncing ideas off one another for jewellery names for our new Aut/Wint jewellery lines.
A few years ago they were all coded but that got a bit complicated and we felt our customers like us like to attribute a name to a piece of jewellery. It gives it an identity and personal touch, it also helps to identify new jewellery much quicker.
Some names come instantly and others not quite so quick. One of our ranges is based on Italian cities and today we are working on military words as well as a few Autumnal names.
In the picture below, taken this morning I am wearing another of our new Aut/Wint designs, called ‘Fall’. Made from brown metalic beads with one large metal bead, I have to say I love it. I think I am going to be using that phrase quite often.
After several seasons of Lello jewellery one thing has become quite clear from our sales which is that our customers like chunky bold jewellery from Lello, so with this in mind we have a number of new ‘statement’ pieces and our ‘metalic’ designs have become our main vehicle for women’s jewellery for Autumn Winter 2011/12. We can’t wait to share them with you.
Our new brochure for Aut/Wint will go back to where we started and incorporate our cards, albums and jewellery lines all together in one handy A5 booklet.

I had this picture taken yesterday of me wearing our acrylic flower ‘Haze’ bracelet. Also available in grey and pink, it is one of my current favourites and I seem to be getting a lot of wear out of it. It goes with so many outfits at this time of year.
Haze is £7.14 and made from acrylic shape flowers in an off white and pale creamy yellow. Lightweight and easy to wear and with an acrylic Lello -logo tag instead of the usual metal finish. What are we doing at Lello today? beavering away with more jewellery designs and the costings of them for me! and turning our thoughts to some new card designs for Spring 2012.
Fiona and I enjoyed a day at PG Live yesterday in London, (a greeting card trade show). Some of our cards and jewellery were on show and we popped down to meet up with agents and to have a look round. It was nice to get out of the office for a day, to mix with like minded people.
Back to today and Fiona is working full time on new jewellery designs which are looking fantastic!

We have a delivery of Little Lello miracle bead & glass pearl bead jewellery in today which I hope will please many of our customers. Our website will be updated later in the day to take account of the new stock.
Fiona and I will be attending the PG Live show in London tomorrow, so there will be no ‘What are we wearing at Lello today’…. tomorrow. The biggest greeting card specific show of it’s kind in the UK. It will be good to have a look round and meet up with some agents.

I thought I would start to show you some of the new lines we plan to launch for Autumn/Winter, a sneak preview! We produce many designs and then wittle it down to a concise range, but the image below will be a definite.
One of our best selling bracelets over the past 18 months has been our ‘Roma’ charm bracelet. With this in mind we have designed a matching necklace, named, ‘Napoli’. I think it will prove very popular.

What are we up to at Lello today? Fiona is ‘lost in design’ working on lovely new jewellery ranges, we have beads everywhere!! but the results are very nice!!. I am working on a number of projects for our jewellery and also seeing that our new greeting card brochures start going out in the post today to all our customers.
Below is a picture of me wearing our ‘Anchor’ necklace aptly named as the necklace comprises of an antique metal finish ‘solid’ anchor on a large chain, with matching ‘Marine’ charm bracelet made up of ships wheel, lighthouse, star fish etc. Also pictured is our ‘Apache’ bracelet made up of long tubular metal beads with oval bead attachement. Anchor £13.26, Marine £8.16, Apache £12.24.
It is my turn today and I am wearing one of our best selling lines. ‘Alice’, a 3 quarter length antique metal bead necklace with a large heart. It is simply lovely and always in demand both here and overseas, now in stock again it retails at £17.36.
We have a new shorter version of this necklace coming for Autumn Winter with chunky beads however ‘Alice’ will remain firmly in the range! Back tomorrow with some wise words for Wednesday. Karen
This week, weather permitting we are hoping to take a few product shots of some teenage girls wearing our Lello jewellery along with my 4 year old daughter…. that should be fun!.
This will form a design for the Lello home page which we then plan to change each month. However having sat down at my desk it is now very apparant we have a great deal on this week and this may have to wait till next week.
Keep an eye on the site for the change. Both Fiona and I feel the homepage works much better with photography on it, instantly showing visitors to our site, our lovely jewellery and how it look on.
It’s going to be a very busy Monday, my list of things to do is endless so I’d better get on with it.
