I have to admit I am. I shall pack myself off in the morning to my neighbours house with my 4 year old daughter to eat bacon sandwiches and drink numerous cups of tea and perhaps a glass of champers. I shall be joined by a number of lovely like minded friends while my son plays football all day and my husband? well he won’t be watching the royal wedding.
My daughter and I will be decked out in red white and blue, we have a little flag each and we will all be adorned with matching Lello jewellery. I apologise now if that all sounds a bit sad but I am really looking forward it, it’s not everyday you get to see a royal wedding. Camera at the ready I shall share my pictures with you (an obvious photo opportunity) on my blog next week.

Today at Lello we are working on new jewellery designs.
Back on Tuesday! Have a Great Weekend, Karen

Today I thought I’d bring you some quotes about business:

About the time we can make the ends meet, somebody moves the ends.
Herbert Hoover

Anyone who has lost track of time when using a computer knows the propensity to dream, the urge to make dreams come true and the tendency to miss lunch.
Tim Berners-Lee

Business is never so healthy as when, like a chicken, it must do a certain amount of scratching around for what it gets.
Henry Ford

Do more than is required. What is the distance between someone who achieves their goals consistently and those who spend their lives and careers merely following? The extra mile.
Gary Ryan Blair

What’s happening at Lello today? Fiona and I are working on our Aut/Wint jewellery designs, reworking some of them and adding in a few new lines in order for them to be ready by the end of Aug.

You will notice a new ‘summer look’  to the home page over the next few days as the Autumn colours are swapped for a more summery outlook. We are also hoping to hear that our Paypal online facility is back on over the coming week so once again our customers can buy Lello products online, we will be sure to notify you of this. Karen

I thought while I had the chance I’d snap my little girl wearing our ‘Little Lello’ jewellery this morning. Back in stock in the next few days she is wearing ‘Fantasy, Forget-me-knot’ and Flamingo bracelets, all £3.99. Ideal for children aged from 4/5yrs to teenagers.

The bracelets are made from mini miracle beads with embossed silver effect heart and trade mark Lello tag, very cute.

I hope everyone had a great Easter? we enjoyed a lovely few days off and now preparing ourselves like everyone else for the next 3 days at Lello to be followed by yet another 4 days off. Maybe we should have designed some Lello ‘Royal Wedding’ inspired jewellery, I think it might be a bit late now!! back tomorrow with more news.

Roll on Easter, I think everyone could do with a dose of sunshine.

It has been a busy morning here at Lello. Fiona and I spent this morning in a meeting with two lovely men! they told me to say that!! but they were very nice and how they kept their cool with us ‘going on about Lello’ I’ll never know.
However the meeting went very well as we discussed plans for Lello’s future, the expansion of our jewellery and cards. A great way to finish the week and some plans in place.

I would like to wish all our customers a very Happy Easter, I will be back writing my blog on Tuesday having spent some quality time at home in the sun with my children and no doubt  going through all our jewellery lines as I am not sure I can completely leave this till next week.

There are busy times ahead for us and I can’t wait to bring you news of our new Aut/Wint lines as the months progress.
Stock delivery in next week of current lines which we have run out of and our children’s miracle bead jewellery is now only a few weeks away which should be music to the ears for our trade customers. Karen

Today I thought I’d leave you with some quotes by Marilyn Monroe, I think the last one is my favourite.

Each week as I trawl through quotes and words I find on the Internet I find it fascinating how many famous people over the years have been quoted and it’s sometimes the people you least expect that have come up with the most ‘poinient’ sayings.

Dogs never bite me. Just humans.
Marilyn Monroe

Dreaming about being an actress, is more exciting then being one.
Marilyn Monroe

I am invariably late for appointments – sometimes as much as two hours. I’ve tried to change my ways but the things that make me late are too strong, and too pleasing.
Marilyn Monroe

I don’t know who invented high heels, but all women owe him a lot.
Marilyn Monroe

If I’d observed all the rules, I’d never have got anywhere.

Apologies for no blog updates on Thursday and Friday, my week ran away with me. Lots to catch up on today as well as the children being off for the easter holidays. Hopefully they are all happy and being kept busy playing football and at the park.

Back tomorrow with ‘what are we wearing at Lello’ today.

Today I thought I’d focus on some quotes by Albert Einstein, with no particular theme, just the ones I liked!

A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.
Albert Einstein

Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex… It takes a touch of genius – and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction.
Albert Einstein

Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves.
Albert Einstein

I believe that a simple and unassuming manner of life is best for everyone, best both for the body and the mind.
Albert Einstein

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.

Back tomorrow with some more Lello news. Karen

I am a little late today getting round to my ‘what are we wearing’ for Tuesday.

Today I am wearing my little sweetheart earrings, £5.00. Little heart shapes embosed with silver backs. A popular line with our retailers round the country.Very pretty and go with anything.

Back tomorrow with some wise words for Wednesday.

We have 2 young work experience girls in this week, Abby and Chloe. Both seem quite happy this morning though I guess it must be a little daunting. We have them making some handmade cards this morning and will set them a little project of their own this afternoon.

It is a not a regular agreement we have with the local schools but we try to do our bit each year as we know there are not many companies around like us. The students get to make cards and jewellery, there is no making cups of tea or photocopying!
It looks to be a very busy week ahead of us, Karen.
