Not bad so far…. the sun has started to shine which definitely helps.
We have card samples to send out to all sorts of potential new customers, Father’s day card samples to send off to our agents and my list of things to do is pretty long this morning so I can see it falling into tomorrow.
Back tomorrow with ‘what are we wearing at Lello today’.
Every Friday I try to bring you something different from the new collections on sale at our local OUTFIT store at Thurmaston Leicester.
Outfit support Lello in their seasonal fashion shows each year. The next Fashion show is scheduled for April, so watch this space.
Today I have chosen this fine knit warehouse dress, very simple, understated and ideal for work or play. £45.00 and in the style of ‘Missoni’, it ties at the waist and fits neatly but comfortably with a round neck and small cut piece in the neckline. Not too short either, just above the knee.
If they’d had one in my size I’d have bought it! in shades of purple, beige and pink. Ideal for anytime of year.
I have just returned from another mornings meetings at the Spring Fair NEC, it was the last day of the show and people were obviously ‘twiddling’ their fingers trying to find something to do.
One meeting proved very promising so I have come away with a slight smile on my face.
Meanwhile our lovely new cards continue to sell very well, so if you are a trade customer and you are reading my blog! please register and place your order. Just one more range to come and then all our new ranges for 2011 will be online.
MY AIM FOR TODAY: to keep doing what I am doing and stay focussed as so far it seems to be working.
I am tad late with this today as I have just returned from a few hours at the Spring Fair NEC, Europes largest gift show to the trade.
It is the first time in eleven years Lello has not exhibited after the decline in footfall the past few years. The halls were very quiet and as we met up with several of our agents they kindly confirmed that we’d made the right decision one shared by a number of card companies this year who also decided to stay away! But we may well be back next year, who knows.
Nearly all our new greeting cards have been uploaded now, so please take a look we have something for everyone and they are proving very popular.
My wise words are on the subject of persistance:
A little more persistence, a little more effort, and what seemed hopeless failure may turn to glorious success.
Elbert Hubbard
Ambition is the path to success, persistence is the vehicle you arrive in.
William Eardley, IV
My greatest point is my persistence. I never give up in a match. However down I am, I fight until the last ball. My list of matches shows that I have turned a great many so-called irretrievable defeats into victories.
Bjorn Borg
Another visit to the NEC beckons tomorrow morning aswell as I have a few meetings to attend.
Today I am wearing one of my favourite bracelets, ‘Love’ a metal large loop chain bracelet with 2 glass pearl beads and letter ‘L’, also comes with matching necklace. Great for everyday, £7.99.
‘back tomorrow with some ‘thoughtful quotes’
At least our roof is staying on here at Lello, there have been times I thought the wind might take it off.
What are we up to today? we are working on our new jewellery brochure which should be ready in approx 2 weeks. Planning our days/meetings we we have at The Spring Fair at the NEC this week, just visiting, not exhibiting this year! trying to get lots of card orders out.
Our first Export order for our NEW ranges of handmade cards came in yesterday morning, although everyone says they love your new products, to get that first NEW export order in is really exciting. And what a whopper it was, the European’s really like their ‘Hen Night cards’ here’s to many more from all over the globe!
A date for your diary! Friday 11th March we are holding a bumper Lello jewellery sale at Northfields Tennis Club Syston Leicester. Out with the old, to make way for the new! 6.30pm-8.30pm. We will have some fantastic bargains on offer.
I can’t believe it is Wednesday already! I was so happy last night when I looked out the window here at Lello at ten to five to see the sun still out and no real sign of darkness. Spring will be here soon!! yippeeee
Today I have chosen the subject of being ‘nice’! I think it is vastly underrated and I am big on being ‘nice’ even if people are not nice to me!.
Today I bent the truth to be kind, and I have no regret, for I am far surer of what is kind than I am of what is true. ~Robert Brault, www.robertbrault.com
If you haven’t any charity in your heart, you have the worst kind of heart trouble. ~Bob Hope
Never look down on anybody unless you’re helping him up. ~Jesse Jackson
It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice. ~Author Unknown
Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you – not because they are nice, but because you are. ~Author Unknown
Back tomorrow.
MY AIM FOR TODAY! to get through my work load and send samples out to our potential new sales agents. To start designing our new jewellery brochure now that we have the photography for the front cover. With a bit of luck this will be ready to send out to customers across the country in approx 2 weeks.
Today I am wearing a very pretty glass & acrylic bead bracelet in pretty pink and beige.
Called, ‘Glimmer’ it is £5.99 and has a beautiful long beaded necklace to match, ‘Sunkissed’, £9.99.
(my apologies I will try to upload this image again later as it doesn’t seem to want to work this morning).
