D-Day, we move everything today which still remains, so I am about to go off line now till next Monday. Back next week with our weekly blog entries, ‘What are we wearing at Lello today’ on Tuesday, ‘Wise words’ on Wednesday and our ‘OUTFIT’ fashion find on Fridays. Plus my usual banter on a Monday and Thursday about what we are up at Lello.
Let’s get these boxes moved!!
Karen
I am bit all over the place this week with our move and once again about to load the van up and drive the long distance (about 600 yards) to the new building. Our computers move some time tomorrow so everything here at Lello will come to a hault until Monday when we will be operating from our new premises.
My words for today revolve around work!
All things are difficult before they are easy.
Thomas Fuller
Being busy does not always mean real work. The object of all work is production or accomplishment and to either of these ends there must be forethought, system, planning, intelligence, and honest purpose, as well as perspiration. Seeming to do is not doing.
Thomas A. Edison
Going to work for a large company is like getting on a train. Are you going sixty miles an hour or is the train going sixty miles an hour and you’re just sitting still?
J. Paul Getty
Yep we are still moving, all our computers move over tomorrow so we will be off line for much of tomorrow, still packing boxes, roll on next week when it’s all done! Karen
Business as usual.
Sorry I couldn’t think of anything else to put to describe my day today. My apologies that there will be no ‘picture’ blog updates for a week now as our move takes over. I feel like a feather weight or light weight lifter after all the boxes and furniture I have moved this past week.
The last time we moved 3 years ago we had a company in to do it for us but this time thought we would do it ourselves, it’s getting done but it is a slow process. Nevertheless a good work out!
Thanks to my husband Nick for hiring a huge van yeseterday who along with our god son ‘Evil Canival’ Harry, moved all the really heavy stuff.
Just having a cup of tea while I muster up the energy to get my hands dirty again!!!
We are still working behind the scenes getting orders out, sending new card samples out to our agents and distributors overseas, although all our jewellery is in boxes on the floor in rows while all the racking has been move to the new building.
Up and running at our new building on Monday 1st November.
Karen
My wise words for this Wednesday are all about the family and time.
“I wish I understood then what I do now, that I had concentrated more on the vital and less on the urgent.” (Terence Rolston)
“The grass isn’t greener on the ‘other side’, the grass isn’t greener on your side. It’s Greener where you water it.” (Source Unknown)
“What you cannot enforce, do not command.” (Sophocles)
“How do you spell Love to your children? T..I..M..E ” (Source Unknown)
- Our move is going well, I am about to jump back into our van. Sadly though as with every move we have had over the past 11 years, BT seem to have a schedule all of their own, it would just have been nice if they had told us what it was! But I am sure it will as it always does, work out ok in the end….
Mmmm, this blog goes wrong from time to time and just doesn’t seem to want to upload my pictures, always on the days I want to upload one, so hopefully my picture for today to go with the what are we wearing at Lello today below, will work this time! (yeyyyyy)
I will own up and tell you I forgot to bring my camera in this morning. In the rush to get my children ready, pick up the child minder and get to work (in a removal van), the camera did not even enter my mind.
So I have gone back through my archive of photo’s to show you the picture below of me wearing our black and white Russian doll set, matching bracelet and necklace. Made from painted wooden beads the bracelet is £7.00 and the necklace is £13.00.
I wear this set quite often as it brightens up the plainest of black outfits and I always get lovely comments from people who see me wearing it.

I am feeling a little jaded this morning after what felt like a lovely long weekend but was no longer than usual.
No ‘moving’ today, I have decided to aid our team in getting our new everyday cards out to our sales agents and plan to be driving my removal van all day tomorrow instead (lucky me).
It’s a chilly morning here at Lello and I am very much much looking forward to our move to new premises next week as we will be moving to a warmer building!!
Although I hadn’t planned any distruption to our business during our move, now that the phone lines are moving early next week I foresee a few days Wed-Fri where there may be no calls, emails or blog entries, so my apologies if this is the case.
Log on tomorrow for what are we wearing at Lello today.
Today is turning out to be one of those days where there are so many little things to get done. I also have to sneak off for a few hours to watch my son at his school Harvest Festival. I can’t miss that it’s so lovely every year listening to them all sing!
Just about to pack up our van for yet another trip to our new premises, trying to move a bit more each day.
Pictured below, today I am wearing our ‘Apache’ bracelet £11.99 made from long metal antique finish beads. This bracelet is one of my favorites as it goes with anything and is quite light weight to wear and just a bit different!
Sorry I don’t know where yesterday went nor my blog insert for ‘what are we wearing at Lello today’ so better late than never, below is Hayley wearing her ‘military’ bracelet yesterday here at Lello, £7.99.

My wise words for this Wednesday are based on Dreams:
All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.
Walt Disney.
I don’t design clothes, I design dreams.
Ralf Lauren.
The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
