It’s a bit of busy Thursday here with a million and one things to do.

I have had so many emails to go through this morning.

Off to pack today’s orders in a few minutes and then might just treat myself to lunch at Starbucks if I am a lucky girl as a proper lunch break is not all that common.

Our new stock starts coming in next Monday I have heard so I can’t wait for that.

It’s another very busy morning here at Lello, with what feels like too many things to do.

I’m off in a moment to pack a mountain of orders which are mainly going out to retailers across the UK in time for our carrier who arrives at about 3pm each day.

I also have a huge order going to New Zealand early next week which we will need to get started on. Our jewellery is proving very popular in New Zealand and we have been really pleased with the success of it over there……. wish I could take it there personally!

Lots of emails to deal with this morning so I will be dashing back and forth to my desk to check on those throughout the morning.

It’s a happy day, now that we have the news that one of our friends has given birth to a very healthy little ‘big’ boy. So well done Nikki and Matt!!! can’t wait to see him.

Fiona is pretty in pink today wearing one of our classics, the ‘Vintage Rose’, glass beaded pale pink bracelet. Very pretty with smaller beads than most of our other bracelets, each bead has painted roses inside it. A very popular bracelet. £7.00.

I am wearing our nautical bracelet made from blue and white stripe glass beads with little silver coloured beads between each one and red enamel ships wheel. £6.00

Lastly I am wearing our ‘Vanessa’ earrings today, made from ivory glass pearls, with a diamanté finding in between the small and large pearl. As with all our earrings they have silver backs on them.

My little girl loves these she lets me know every morning if she approves! £7.00.

Coming into Lello this morning I feel like I have had 4 days off not 2 as we made so much of each day and the weather. What a great weekend it was. But my muscles tell another story after hours of bouncing on our trampoline with my two children. It seemed like a good idea at the time, I feel like I’ve done a 4 mile run!

It’s very quiet here this morning as everyone gets on with their work and especially now all the children are back at school, I no longer have their scooters in the office nor their little faces peering behind the door.

We have a design and a jewellery meeting booked in today to go through all our jobs in progress and to start re-ordering out of stock jewellery lines. Our new Spring Summer jewellery starts arriving this week, yippee!!!!

I found this cute little navy blue jacket in Dorothy Perkins, £35.00. It’s made from a cotton linen mix, has three quarter sleeves and exaggerated, ruffled shoulders (a bit ’80′s). The jacket sits nicely on the waist and buttons quite low at the front. With two little pockets and pretty silk lining.

Very on trend for those of you who like a bit of Red, White and Blue. If I hadn’t already bought myself a little navy jacket for this season I think I’d be buying this one, it’s a bit of must.
Sizes 8-18.

Lastly for a laugh:- as it’s been the Easter Holidays our children have been at work with us most days. Yesterday they were playing ‘Lello Factor’ their version of ‘X Factor’ ……hilarious.

So this morning my two (Heidi and Angus) have come in with their toy microphones! I think I am going to be hearing some tunes coming through the ceiling a bit later.

I am a bit stuck for words this morning for my blog other than it’s a lovely sunny morning, I have just driven my son to his holiday tennis lesson only to find it’s not on today! typical. So our nanny has 4 of them to keep occupied this morning, no mean feat. But the park is across the road so that should keep them happy till lunch time.

I am frantically trying to organise our air freight this morning to get our new stock in, which seems to drag from one day to the next but I know it won’t be long now.

I also have a lot of costings to do which will take me some time, plus about 20 orders to send out to retailers so my cup of tea is rapidly getting cold!

I might just treat myself to some cake at Starbucks at lunchtime, no doubt with a couple of children in tow as they absolutely love it there!

Hope this doesn’t offend anyone!

WOMEN’S BUM SIZE STUDY
There is a new study just released by the American Psychiatric Association about women and how they feel about their bums.
The results are pretty shocking:

1. Only 5% of women surveyed feel their bum is too big
2. 10% of women surveyed feel their bum is too small
3. The remaining 85% say they don’t care.. they love him, he’s a good man,
and they would have married him anyway!

I know we have had a bank holiday, but to think it is Wednesday already and the children are back at school on Monday, these past few weeks seem to have flown by.

I have just packed the days deliveries of which there are many and my hands are sore from all that cellotape and making up of boxes! plus some of the boxes are very heavy, but hey us women are multi tasking!

I now turn my attentions to our new lines which fingers crossed will arrive next week and go straight into stock as everything now seems to be ready, it is surprising sometimes how easily deliveries can get held up both overseas and here in the UK so it is never an exact science.

Below see a picture of me today, wearing my favourite colour ‘red’ my red miracle bead bracelet, £6.00 which has always been a favourite and is one of our original ones from 3 years ago so it has worn very well and my new favourite ‘sweetheart’ earrings which I have worn nearly everyday for the past few weeks, £5.00 which match the heart on my bracelet.
Please note all our earrings (bar ‘parade’) have sterling silver backs to them.

We are all a bit bleary eyed this morning after the Easter break so it is all very quiet and people are just getting on with their work.

I have just packed the days orders which will be dispatched at the end of the day, we appear to have been very busy with web orders over the holiday’s so thank you to our customers for those,
they should be with you tomorrow!

Today Fiona is dressed in camel and brown, so wearing our chunky brown, leopard print wooden bracelet with large heart Maya £7.00. It also has a matching necklace, Marcey which is £17.00.

I am dressed in blue and coral, so I am wearing our ceramic butterfly bracelet, £8.00 which also comes with a matching necklace £16.00.

It’s a bit chilly in our office, hence we both have our scarves on!!!

This was the topic of conversation in my house this morning.

Very busy today at Lello, lots and lots of paperwork to go through, so there will be no break for me today.

Our designers are putting a few quotes together on a couple of new design briefs as well as all the other design work they have on.

I will be dashing off in a few moments to start packing the web orders and making my daily walk down to the post office with them later, providing it doesn’t rain!

I have a favourite of our new Spring Summer jewellery ranges, ‘Apache‘ £11.99 which should come into stock at the end of next week if not the beg of the following week. I have worn it nearly everyday! It is made from an antique metal effect with 5 strands of long narrow beads with smaller round beads between them. With a Lello tag and oval flat metal bead. It is quite light weight and I have received lots of comments about it when I wear it.

Please note we are closed tomorrow, Friday and also next Monday, back to usual on Tuesday. Web orders placed over the Easter break will be dispatched on Tuesday 6th April.
